Chapter 1-2
The Reborn Sun
Our story begins with a legend given not so long ago, about the story of the hero who would one day save the nations from the terrors that tormented them, an adventurer who would reunite nations, certainly someone as such would clearly have to be someone with a great sense of good and morality, someone with the determination of a titan and highly audacious….
This one was not.
This is a town called Dividente, a small town of no more than 20 inhabitants who simply live a quiet and rural life, next to the homes of the villagers, there was a farm for the winter with food for its inhabitants, no one except these same ones know of the existence of the town, The people there get along well with each other, living in peace and harmony rarely seen in the lands, and thanks to its location in the woods on one of the calmest hills in the lands, rarely do beasts come to attack them, it would seem that this is the perfect place to live and it would be, with the exception of one thing; A boy named Alex, who wakes up, reminiscent of a dream he just had, but still confused, Alex, who has distinctly orange hair and everyday townie clothes, thinks to himself.
Alex: *sigh*
(I had that nightmare again…if only I could remember it…).
After spending some time thinking about his dream, he proceeds downstairs to join his mother in the kitchen preparing a lunch.
Beth: Good morning my little Star! How did you rest?
Beth approaches her son to greet him with a hug, who pushes her away with his hands.
Beth: Huh? What’s wrong my little Star?
Alex: For the last time, I am no longer your “Little Star”, I am an adult and I want you to refer to me by my name.
Beth: That’s not going to happen Star.
After saying that, she comes over and proceeds to hug him in the same way against his will.
Alex: Damn it Old lady…Hm?
Alex walks over to the table after his mother’s hug to notice a strange handwriting on it.
He proceeds to grab it to see that the recipient of this letter was…him.
Alex: Hey Old lady, where did this come from?
Beth walks over to Alex.
Beth: It just came in a little while ago, so I propped it up on the table until you woke up Alex!
Beth starts to walk away as she continues to prepare lunch, Alex checks the letter in detail, with a seal made of white wax with an emblem familiar to Alex; A sphere with a circle and an arrow through it.
After recognizing the emblem, Alex proceeds to open the mail to reveal a letter in black ink which reads as follows:
Hello little brother! It’s been a few years since we’ve seen each other, tell me, how are our parents doing? Considering they have you to take care of, I hope they’re doing well!
What about the people in town, I hope you haven’t caused too much trouble for the people there! I hope you’ve finally grown a few inches since we met!
Now, before you destroy this letter, I wanted to let you know that I’m going to visit to see them, and I know that’s what you’ll say “Isn’t my big sister the most thoughtful, charismatic and great of all the big sisters out there?” Well yes, I am!
Well, I hope we can see each other in a few days, send my regards to our parents for me, we’ll see each other soon little brother. With much love, Kenai.
Reminder : You’d better not forget to send my regards, otherwise you’ll get a shock when I arrive!
Alex finds himself with a fusion of feelings after reading the letter : Mainly anger, so after reading it he proceeded to crumple the letter 3 times and throws it towards the nearest corner of the home, where after removing his anger caused by Kenai, he directs his gaze towards the kitchen where his mother starts to ask him about the letter.
Beth: Star, what did the letter say?
Alex knowing the contents of the letter and the favor her older sister asked her to send her regards, did as Kenai naturally asked.
Alex: Don’t worry Elder, it was just a letter from an old friend of mine.
Beth immediately questions Alex’s lie, but doesn’t turn her gaze from lunch.
Beth: Come on Alex, tell me the truth, I know when you are lying to me.
Alex: I am telling the truth!
Beth turns around and shows Alex the lunch she has been preparing.
Beth: Alex, I’ve been taking care of you for over 17 years, I know when you’re lying to me, that and it said the person’s name on the post.
Alex is clearly cornered, but decides to go against this attitude by simply evading the question.
Alex: (Then why are you asking me if you already know?!)
What do you mean, who is that for?
Beth simply lets out a small laugh and hands it into Alex’s hands.
Beth: It’s for you!
Alex sets about checking what is in the lunch, and to his surprise, he finds a piece of bread and a plate of rice along with meat and spinach mixed in.
Seeing such contents, he was tempted to eat his lunch while his mother’s back was turned, that delicious freshly baked bread and a warm plate of rice were to Alex something glorious.
After a few minutes of contemplating his lunch, Alex tries to grab some to enjoy his food, but as soon as he tries to put his hand in, he feels a tug on his ear.
Alex: Auch- HEY! What was that for?!
Beth: That’s your lunch, not your breakfast!
Now go help your father, Star!
Alex with a visibly upset face leaves his home, where he starts walking towards the farm to help his father, although knowing him, he wasn’t really excited to see him.
Alex: Hey old man!
Rudolph remains motionless even after Alex’s call, even so, he slowly approaches him and rests his hand on his shoulder.
Alex: Hey, are you deaf?
The figure turns around to reveal a sinister face with a demonic grin and dark eyes, and its skin was a dark orange tint.
